36 And someone ran and filled a sponge with sour wine, put it[a] on a reed, and[b] gave it[c] to him to drink, saying, “Leave him[d] alone! Let us see if Elijah is coming to take him down.” 37 But Jesus uttered a loud cry and[e] expired. 38 And the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.
